The Land Cruiser has long been the vehicle of choice for anyone who needs to arrive in comfort whatever the road. The 300 Series keeps that promise while modernising almost everything underneath.
Comfort and capability
The twin-turbo V6 diesel is smooth and strong, and the 10-speed automatic keeps it in its stride. On good tarmac it is quiet and relaxed; on broken roads it simply refuses to be unsettled, which is exactly what buyers here pay for.
The catch
It is expensive to buy, thirsty in heavy traffic, and its size makes city parking a chore. Theft-prevention and insurance are worth budgeting for from day one.
The verdict
If budget is not the limit, it is hard to think of a more complete vehicle for Ghanaian roads.
