SELORMCARS ON THE FUTURE
(FAMILY CAR SERIES)
For some, life is all about the fun we can have; the parties, ladies, hangovers and all the other crazy things! For others like me, the fun is in driving ridiculously fast cars and doing really insane things in the car; you know what I mean (winking). And yes, getting dazzled by the new designs for cars as though they were literally designed and made by aliens; I wouldn't be shocked if they are.
The truth is, at a point in time we’ll all grow really old… delving into the territories of the 30’s and later 40’s! And then, we’ll have to settle down and be more responsible! In doing so, we get married, have kids and we just realize that our partying days and all the crashing fun youthful times just walk comfortably out of the door and there is hardly any chance getting them back.
Well, unless of course you want to be playing a lot of away matches… Again, for people like me, we’re looking forward to this. This has a lot of consequences; like trying to install into your family some really important values to help in the coming future.
It is also akin to protecting them while providing and catering for them; making sure that everything is not perfect… but just alright! It also means going to places with the family and you’ll think instantly that the best family car would be a Mercedes SLS AMG! With this, you would stuff the kids in the back, punishing them for something they did or probably didn't do... While enjoying your drive your kids would be cursing you in their little heads… that’s just wrong! So, what you’ll have to get is a big family car; particularly a minivan.
Yep, a minivan! Oh yes, some of you would be thinking that big luxurious cars would do the trick but then… fact is, it doesn't satisfy all the criteria of a proper family car; it should be abnormally big on the outside, spacious enough on the inside to be the children’s playground. It should be dead slow and not have excessive beauty in any way.
Thing is, some of these minivans I have in mind are used as a public transport in my part of the world… called the ‘trotro’I seriously don’t understand why we Ghanaians haven’t and don’t want to embrace it, the minivan I mean.
Mind you, minivans are supposed to seat a really large family. If you decide to give birth to a football team, then please get yourself a proper bus. The minivan should also be able to pull a caravan or even an extra holiday accessory.
