SelormCars And The SWAT Team In Ghana

A Display of Well-Abled SWAT Vehicles
The word SWAT means Special Weapons And Tactics.
It’s the part of the police that are specially trained for serious work that our normal police officers cannot do such as performing hostage rescues and counter-terrorism operations; serving high risk arrest and search warrants; subduing barricaded suspects; and engaging heavily-armed criminals.
SWAT teams are often equipped with specialized firearms including submachine guns, assault rifles, breaching shotguns, riot control agents, stun grenades, and sniper rifles. As the weapons, they also have quite a number of helpful tools to make their work kind of easy.
America is the country well known for their SWAT team because obviously they’re hated and have become the target of so many people especially our brothers from the Middle East and the Arabic countries and also because they have all sorts of people in that country they can’t even trust themselves anymore.
The SWAT team is also given the best transport they can get. It’s not a Bentley or a Rolls Royce or any kind of car we know. In fact, the only way we call is the SWAT truck or SWAT van. But then, one of this SWAT trucks is called the Lenco BearCat which is built upon a commercial Ford F550 chassis. Lenco BearCats are currently used by various agencies such as the LAPD, NYPD and Australian Police Tactical Groups.

With all these findings I never thought there was a SWAT team in Ghana till quite recently. I’ve never seen the SWAT team in Ghana in action, when there is a riot or when there was a coup d’état or even when they were arresting one of the most notorious armed robber in Ghana Atta Ayi or even the drug baron Tagore.
The knowledge of their presence kept me thinking why they have been so underground. And the best answer I could come to was their style or the SWAT they’re using means something more like Special Watchmen and Technicians in the police department in Ghana.
I mean I don’t mean any disrespect or anything but the truth be told; they have to work on their logistics and be a bit more involved in heavy duty police field work.
I love the police service because they have made an effort to protect us from all these people who have decided to terrorize our lives in our home and our streets we paid for (taxes).
You might be wondering why I am being all like this and it’s because of this picture………
